world cup 1974, tenth arrangement of the FIFA was held in West Germany from 13 June to 7 July. This is the first tournament in the current Trophy. Sixteenth teams were played 38 games in different 9 venues. The official mascot name was tip and top.Host nation West Germany won the tournament beating Netherlands 2-1 in the final. This is the second world cup won the West Germany. Poland took the third palace and Brazil was the fourth in that world cup. Grzegorz Lato with his 7 goals was the highest goal scorer.
